Job Title: *ETL Team Lead Consultant**
*No. of position: 3
Location: Stamford, CT
Duration: 6 to 12 Months
Start Date: December 2009
Rate: DOE

*Interview Process:**
*The interviewing process will start with a phone tech but will then move on
to an in-person interview before a final decision is made so you should
probably stick to submitting candidates within a 200 mile radius of
Stamford, CT unless you want to incur a travel expense.

*Responsibilities:**
*Consultant will lead one or more simultaneous ETL projects for Client
Treasury’s Enabling Technology program (a large multi-year business
intelligence and data warehousing initiative).

Responsibilities include full lifecycle project management, solution design,
and overall ETL architecture:
Assess requirements for completeness and accuracy and determine if
requirements are actionable for the ETL team.  Work with requirement
providers to close issues and gaps
Assess requirements in light of overall solution and determine if
Informatica is the appropriate tool to satisfy the requirements
Coordinate all aspects of the project with other teams, such as Data
Architecture, Reporting, Quality Assurance, Support, Infrastructure as well
as business owners and management
Perform impact assessment and scope the size of the effort based on the
requirements
Develop full SDLC project plans to implement the ETL solution, including
identifying resource requirements
Architect the solution and ensure that it fits into the overall
ETL/Informatica architecture at Client Treasury
Play an active, leading role in shaping and enhancing the overall
ETL/Informatica architecture.  Identify, recommend and implement process and
architecture improvements
Assist with and validate the design of the solution and the production of
all design phase deliverables
Manage the build phase and quality assure (peer review) the code to ensure
that it meets the requirements and adheres to the ETL architecture
Resolve difficult design and build issues, troubleshoot bugs when developers
are not able to do so
Coordinate with the Quality Assurance team to plan and execute QA testing
and resolve of any defects
Coordinate with deployment and support resources to ensure the solutions
gets implemented smoothly into QA and Production environments
Take an active role in joint solution design and be an advocate for the ETL
team in the process

*Requirements:*
At least 10 years of industry experience with an emphasis on business
intelligence / data warehousing projects in the financial services
industry.
Must have multiple full lifecycle project experience in developing ETL
solutions as a developer, architect and leader.
Must have solid presentation, oral and written communication skills.
Formal project management experience is required.

Business intelligence and data warehousing project experience
ETL project experience as an architect
Understanding of ETL concepts, standards and best practices
Understanding of the role of ETL vis-à-vis SOA/ESB solutions
Hands-on experience with one or more ETL tools.  Informatica PowerCenter
Advance Edition 8.5+ strongly preferred
Database experience should include database development, strong SQL skills,
DBA background and data modeling experience.
Prefer Oracle 10G
Experience in UNIX environments
Microsoft Project skills
