*Position Title* – Oracle DBA with SAP Experience *Location* – Harrisburg, PA *Duration* – 6 Months *Description* The Senior Business Subject Matter Expert (SME) brings proven experience from related businesses or organizations as well as system integration and technology experience. Skills Requirements for a Database Administration Position Database Administration skills: Requires a minimum three years of Oracle database administration and support experience in both AIX and Windows environments. o Monitoring and resolving all serious Oracle alert log messages o Providing performance analysis & identification of tuning activities o Providing Oracle SQL analysis & tuning solutions o Performing database backups & recovery o Implementing Oracle patches and upgrades o Performing new database installation and configuration o Performing database reorganizations and row re-sequencing for performance o Performing data migrations and refreshing test databases o Unix and PLSQL scripting for database support o Set-up and installation of backup and recovery software o Testing and implementing new database features o Implementing change control procedures SAP Experience: Working knowledge of SAP application is a plus. o Ability to research SAP OSS notes and submit OSS messages as necessary for corrective action. o An understanding of the SAP change transports process. o Working Knowledge of SAP database administration transactions and processes. General systems development skills: o Experience in gathering and documenting technical requirements. o Ability to write test scripts and to conduct unit test, systems test, and integration test. o Ability to communicate technical issues in a non-technical way for better customer understanding o Strong troubleshooting and problem solving skills Team Participation: o Ability to communicate, cooperate and coordinate effectively with team members. o Ability to accept direction and recommendations to ensure effective integration and coordination with existing applications. Knowledge transfer: o Written communication skills to adequately document work. o Oral communication skills to train staff and inform management of all implemented assignments.
