Technical Analyst Location: NYC Duration: 6-12 months* *Description Project Management: Migrating Corporate Systems from Windows XP and multiple builds to a single firmwide build based on Windows 7. Ideal candidate should have hands on experience migrating large firms to a new version of windows operating system. Tasks/Responsibilities Coordinate (& followup) updates to application portfolio Coordinate (& produce) requirements gathering for Corporate Systems Identify high impact, high risk, problem applications/areas for followups/focus/risk mitigation Coordinate and identify pilot candidates for various phases of the program Produce migration roadmap for all applications that need special attention Produce test plans working with the line teams Liaise, manage communication with iDesktop and line teams in Corporate Systems Competence Strong Project Management skills Must have managed large scale enterprise projects with wide span of control Strong hands on background in migration initiatives Use of Project Management tools such as MS Project, Excel, WBSChartPro a plus Strong understanding of microsoft products & windows platform as a user Understanding of issues and problem areas for such/similar initiatives Project Management of large operating system migration programs a plus (preferably Microsoft windows migration) (1000+ users, 20+ desktop applications) Thanks & Regards, Ahmed *--
