Work location would generally be Eden Prairie, although since these people would need training and mentoring, initially they could spend most of the first couple of months in Wausau WI, and/or Owatonna MN. *Position 1: Application Developer* Responsibilities: • Create technical specifications from functional specifications prepared by Business Analysts • Collaborate with Development and Infrastructure team members to develop solutions designs • Develop high quality and highly efficient programs • Develop, document, and execute unit tests • Support and maintain development solutions, as well as related documentation • Interact with users and business analysts during development and problem solving • Adhere to Apogee System Development Lifecycle (SDLC) methodology and standards (modified waterfall approach) • Understand and actively support organizational goals and objectives • Deliver effective and repeatable deployment documentation Education Required: • Minimum of an undergraduate degree in Information Technology or related field, or equivalent experience Skills Required: • Minimum of 2 to 4 years of progressive experience in Information Technology • Minimum of 2 years .NET programming experience in an object-oriented SOA Environment • Minimum of 2 years working in a Multi-Tier environment • Excellent written and oral communication skills; ability to communicate at both general and technical levels • Ability to consult effectively with users at all levels of the organization. • Ability to work well with Windows API’s • Experience designing graphical user interfaces and user interactions • Ability to engage in concurrent scheduled project/development tasks • Proficient in a 4GL language like Informix, Progress and Dataflex Skills Desired: • Familiarity with UML modeling tools such as Rational • Microsoft SQL Server experience • Familiarity with Web Design tools including HTML, XSLT and XML • Experience developing ERP/financial application solutions, ideally Epicor 9 or Vantage 8 utilizing Epicor SDK tool set • Microsoft Visual Studio Suite • Microsoft SQL Reporting Services • Familiarity with Web Services and Service Contracts Job Location: • Minneapolis, Wausau, or Owatonna • Approximately 35% travel required *Position 2: Senior Application Developer *• Create technical specifications from functional specifications prepared by Business Analysts • Collaborate with Development and Infrastructure team members to develop solutions designs • Produce architectural designs for foundation or framework development projects • Develop work estimates for designs • Develop high quality and highly efficient programs • Develop, document, and execute unit and system tests • Support and maintain development solutions, as well as related documentation • Mentor application developers on the team • Interact with users and business analysts during development and problem solving • Adhere to Apogee System Development Lifecycle (SDLC) methodology and standards (modified waterfall approach). • Assist in developing standards and best practices in the areas of development, test, documentation, and deployment of system and application solutions. • Deliver effective and repeatable deployment documentation • Understand and actively support organizational goals and objectives.
