YES, BACHELORS Job Description: The candidate for this position will perform the following duties in a day to day job. The duties may change in the future. Primary Duties • Performs a range of duties including analytical, development, project management, testing and documentation support. • Development and communication of various artifacts in SDLC for the design and implementation IT Components as part of a IT Component library. • Assists in creating and testing project artifacts both related to technical and project management discipline. • Supports the integration of business needs into technical solutions. • Provides implementation support for IT Common components and component library. • Conducts data analysis and presents analysis results to an integrated project team. • Performs business analysis for product selection and comparison. Secondary Duties • Assists the Project Manager with design/development/testing tasks and provide updates on the status of the tasks. • Mentors junior colleagues, if required. • Creates project documentation. • Duties as assigned. Qualifications Required • Strong analytical and technical skills with experience in the Federal Sector •A successful background working with IT development and design. • Broad experience working with web technology in a creative and often times ambiguous environment • Solid MS Office proficiency • The ideal candidate will work well on a team and will be able to function independently. The position may require both onsite and remote work and the candidate should be comfortable and able to be productive in both environments. • Hands-on experience with working with modern Java technology stack and open source projects. Specific emphasis on Java 5/6, JUnit/Mock Object Testing, JBoss 4/5, Test Driven Design, UML, Design Patterns, Subversion, Spring Framework, MVC/Struts and JPA. • Hands-on coding experience in XML, XSD and relational databases – specifically Oracle 10g. • Strong business-social skills. • Excellent oral and written communication skills. • Quick learner, assumes responsibility and able to work independently with little of no support. • Willingness to take on new tasks that may be unfamiliar.
