* *Datawarehouse BA:- (Local Preferred)* * Work location: Deerfield, IL * *3 Months (with possible extension) * * * * * *40% Participates in meetings with project managers, technical support, and clients to identify and specify system requirements and processes. * *30% *Assists in the design, development, and implementation of new application.* **Assists in the preparation of detailed specifications for programs to be written.* **Uses specialized skills and technical expertise to assist users in resolving a system problem, * *or escalates problem to a more experienced systems analyst in accordance with service level agreements. * *20% *Assists application developers in providing alternative solutions and recommending the best solution * *based upon fact discovery and management. * *10% *Coordinates and monitors the development of program specifications and efforts. * **Participates in the development of work plans and schedules consistent with department standards and methods. * **** Specialized/Practical Knowledge: * *• Minimum 4 years experience working in the Pharmaceuticals industry. * *• Experience with validated applications a plus.* *• Strong experience supporting Sales and Marketing reporting and analytic solutions utilizing Data Warehouse star schemas. * *• Strong experience utilizing and interpreting data from third party vendors such as IMS Health and Wolters Kluwer. * *• Strong experience utilizing IBM Cognos 8 Business Intellagence Suite.* *• Experience utilizing SAP/BI a Plus.* *• Knowledge of relational database systems like Oracle , SQL Server, Sybase, and Relational Database Design required.* *• Experience with data profiling techniques utilizing SQL.* *• Clear understanding of the entire project life cycle including Analysis, Design and Development. * *• Experience creating high-level technical specifications for use by resources and for knowledge transfer* *• Experience utilizing MS Excel 2003 & 2007 for delivering custom reports.* *• Innovative, self-motivated, delivery focused and detail-oriented with excellent communication skills with peers and users. * *• Able to work individually and across globally diversified virtual technology teams.* *• Third Party ETL Experience a plus (e.g. IBM DataStage)* *• Strong interpersonal, client service, oral and written communications, organizational, and task management skills.* *• Ability to work effectively with clients, and management and its staff members.* *• Sound judgment and tact. * **** Management Skill: * *• Participates in programs or processes* *• Assists with program/process administration * *• Strong interpersonal, client service, oral and written communications, task management, organizational, team, and leadership skills. * **** Interaction: * *• Contact with peers and direct supervisor.
