Skills: Java, SQL (Oracle), scripting (Windows, Linux), Unix Job description: Great benefits Stability Room for growth Paid days off Salary increase Bonus We are looking for a technical lead developer/architect to extend its existing pricing, market making, order execution management and research platforms. The role will require technical architecture, development-lead skills and implementation capability. The role is within a small front office team and will have a high degree of autonomy for software design, development methodology and implementation strategy. It is a fast paced, highly adaptable and variable environment driven by trader requirements and direct hands on feedback. Experience with exchange connectivity and trading/pricing systems development is highly desirable. The role also requires knowledge of source control, build and deployment techniques, project lifecycle etc. and managing/mentoring a small group of developers. The candidate must be able to provide reliable estimates of timelines and work effort on development projects. The ideal candidate would also be able to demonstrate familiarity with some or all of the following concepts and technologies: ETL process, data marts, Matlab, reporting/web portals, source control, build/package processes. The candidate should preferably also have prior experience in working with software that has a multi-user/concurrent access data environment. Knowledge of commodities products and trading is desirable, specifically time series spot and forecast data curves. Required Skills Knowledge/Skills/Abilities/Licenses Java, SQL (Oracle), scripting (Windows, Linux), Unix. Code optimization Distributed computing Matlab or similar Flex (desirable) Microsoft Excel VBA (desirable) Decision Making/Accountability Will have to evaluate multiple sources of input for architectural direction of the software and make the ultimate decision on the correct approach Will be held accountable for the long term health and stability of the core functionality of the applications.
