*Title: Sr. ETL Developer (Informatica, PERL and UNIX scripting, exp with larger volumes of **clickstream data a MUST Have)*
*Duration: 6+months* *Location: Bellevue, WA* *Responsibilities:* Responsibilities include assessing business rules; performing source to target data mapping; designing, reviewing, implementing and optimizing ETL processes; reviewing project plans, development and test specifications; performing data analysis; providing development support for existing systems; troubleshooting data and/or system issues; building/extending toolsets; creating/maintaining batch jobs; creating systems documentation; mentoring other ETL developers etc. Provide data analysis and identify data related issues within the Data Warehouse environment as well as Upstream systems, as needed. * * *Qualifications: * * * 1. A minimum of 5 years experience as a developer in ETL Development (Informatica) 2. Database development in an MPP DW environment is a must have with an eye for tuning and performance 3. Development background should include experience in Informatica Powercenter version 8.5.1, but not required 4. Strong scripting skills to perform data/file manipulation (e.g., PERL) 5. Strong background in Data Warehousing environment. 6. Experience as ETL Lead is a plus. 7. Qualified individuals will have a solid background in DB2/SQL Server query and data investigation fundamentals. 8. Ability to read and interpret data schemas, with emphasis on DB2/SQL Server implementations. 9. Proven ability to create and maintain online and printed documentation. 10. Proven ability to work cross functionally to deliver appropriate resolution of technical, procedural, and operational issues. 11. Strong customer service skills. 12. Must be able to drive investigations to completion and ensure customer satisfaction. 13. Must be flexible and motivated to work in a fast-paced environment. 11. Comment Text: from the client • Our massive parallel processing environment (MPP) is complex 48 node DB2 system on top of a Linux platform that is about to almost triple in size putting us in the top 1% of all data warehouse implementations. • A SQL Server implementation does not compare or scale and the skills are not transferrable, which is a difficult conclusion; SQL server and Microsoft shop are not the environment that we run in. • The ETL is Informatica and, again, most that are coming through are SQL DTS or SSIS.
