** *Position Responsibilities * Sr. Microsoft SSIS (SSIS) Developer responsibilities include, but are not limited to: o Create, convert, and maintain ETL programs using Microsoft Integration Services o Create and maintain program documentation o Create and maintain custom reports/interfaces using Microsoft SQL Server 2005/2008 Business Intelligence suite of products o Consult with the SIS team to develop new processes for standardization o Consult with School Data Bus resources to understand current ETL processes and document the requirement o Query optimization and creation of complex SQL statements, Stored procedures, functions o Knowledge of optimum database design and development will be preferred *Position Requirements * The successful candidate must demonstrate the following: o Bachelor's degree in computer science, business administration, engineering or a related discipline with an information technology focus o In-depth experience using Microsoft SQL Server 2005/2008, Microsoft SQL Server 2005/2008 Integration Services, Microsoft SQL Server 2005/2008 Reporting Services o May perform database architecture designs, database modeling and logical and physical design including data mart solutions within a star schema and cube designs o Develops database, ETL processes including hands-on ETL development and review of ETL load jobs for consistency and quality o Ability to work where assignments require quick turnaround time and to handle frequently changing demands o Three to five years of demonstrated ETL programming experience using SSIS o 5 or more years of direct experience as a MS SQL Server DBA supporting large Data Warehouse implementations, administration, and support o Strong expertise with data warehousing and business intelligence tools using Microsoft products including SSIS, SSAS, and SSRS o Ability to analyze the business needs of the customer to help identify true requirements and implement data solutions o Experience analyzing, designing and implementing user interfaces (i.e, reports and dashboards) in a Sharepoint environment, while not required, would be a strong asset *The ideal candidate will demonstrate: * Analytical thinking, ability to organize work in a precise manner, solving problems using clear logic from problem definition to solution.
