Responsibilities · Performs data analysis and data profiling, identifies data sources and data quality issues · Creates and executes SQL queries within a relational database for analysis and problem solving · Assists with developing data models, data dictionaries and data lineage documents for use by ETL developers · Documents enterprise data repositories and repository relationships down to the attribute level · Communicates data issues to the appropriate parties and assists in the resolution of data issues · Responds promptly and effectively to all internal and external client requests · Personality is key – must be patient and be flexible to work with different types of people at different levels of the organization Skills/Experience/Qualifications · Excellent problem solving and decision making skills · Ability to proactively identify problems and research solutions in order to develop the best course of action to resolve data and reporting issues · The DA must possess good problem-solving skills and be able to clearly develop and communicate a plan of action · Ability to work in a fast-paced changing environment and meet tight deadlines Key technical skills · Relational databases (DB2 and Oracle) · Experience working with “green screens” on an AS400 system (DB2 is on the AS400 system) · Other data sources like delimited flat files, Excel spreadsheets and Access DBs · SQL (structured query language) · Knowledge of principles, techniques, and best practices of an enterprise data warehouse and data marts · Knowledge of data modeling concepts, specifically as related to designing star schemas for data warehouse applications · Microsoft Office tool set · Windows, Linux and Unix knowledge Kindly refer some of your friends with the same skill.
