This requirement is Sr. MS SQL DBA with Facet Experience.

The Sr. DBA will work closely with the business systems analyst, report
writer, application developer, project manager, systems administrator,
Systems/Network team, as well as the operational business units to
effectively coordinate the complex interdependencies inherent to the
organization's data architecture, data storage, and data management. They
will take a leadership role in the architecture, implementation and support
of an enterprise wide data warehouse and data marts, lead complex/major
efforts regarding design (physical and logical) and development, and will
ensure that database management, from a performance, scalability,
availability, and efficiency of design supports the company's overall data
requirements. The Sr. Database Administrator is able to perform all aspects
of the position with additional responsibilities including but not limited
to those outlined below.

*Responsibilities:*



1. The Database Administrator is primarily responsible for the support of
the company's database infrastructure, data warehouse platform, and overall
repository(s) for information management. This includes installation,
updates/patches, upgrades, tuning, optimization, archiving, clustering
management, preparing DTS packages, backups, and resource management. All
support procedures must be documented and cross trained with other members
of the team.
2. Administers, maintains, develops and implements policies and procedures
for ensuring the security and integrity of all databases and periodically
performs audits on various permissions to ensure compliance with these
policies and procedures. Ensures control, integrity, and accessibility of
data.

3. Leadership role in the architecture, implementation and support of an
enterprise wide data warehouse and data marts. Responsibility will entail
performing all design aspects with respect to logical and physical layers,
schema definition, partitioning, and mirroring.

4. Work with others to design, implement and support near real time
interfaces from the company's existing systems, and 3rd party and external
partners, to populate the data warehouse.

5. Participate in a 24x7x365 second-level support team on a rotating basis
with other DBAs, and has worked in an environment that support Service Level
Agreements (SLA's).

6. Leads complex/major efforts regarding the management and maintenance of
all production/non production databases, as well as their system components.

7. Leads evaluations of application designs for effective utilization.

8. Analyzes complex performance and capacity issues with software.

9. Maintains knowledge of emerging technologies; prepares and continuously
updates technical documentation for applications.

10. Responsible for acting in accordance with and complying with all
departmental and company Policies in relation to:
. Compliance Program
. Risk Management Program
. Medicare Program
. Medicaid Program
11. Other duties as assigned.

12. Assists in special projects as needed.


*Education:** *

1. Minimum of 5 years professional Information Technology experience,
working in the capacity as a Database Administrator or Data Specialist.

2. Knowledge of database design fundamentals and the use of data modeling
tools in a technology environment, where the database size requirements are
1 terabyte or more.

3. Possesses a solid understanding of the relationships of architecture
components within the company's technology infrastructure.

4. Understanding of application of technology utilized to support multiple
and complex business areas

5. Proficient and demonstrated capabilities using the following
technologies: SQL Server 2000 and 2005, MySQL, SQL Cluster,
ASP.NET<http://asp.net/>,
VB.NET <http://vb.net/>, .NET framework 2.0, and 1.1.

6. Experience using case tools, such as ERWIN, SAN Storage, OLTP processing
environment, and supporting RAID level configuration is a plus.

7. Strong communication and analytical skills necessary for independent
project work.

8. Knowledge of customer service standards and procedures and a commitment
to excellence in customer service. This individual MUST have experience
working in a customer-facing capacity.

9. Ability to operate and communicate effectively while under pressure.

10. A team player that can effectively work not only with their own
technology group, but also with other IT and business unit teams.

11. Essential to have good technical writing skills and willingness to
adequately document all work performed.

12. Knowledge of current technological developments/trends in area of
expertise.

13. Experience working in a hospital or healthcare organization is highly
desirable.

14. Has an awareness if HIPAA regulations

15. Excellent organizational abilities, oral communications, and
interpersonal skills.
