Chicago (preferred local and nearby but can consider non locals also) Rate: $60/hr (Need to have 9+yrs of exp) *JOB DESCRIPTION: *Our client is looking for a skilled Java J2EE contract engineer to join their Software Engineering team. As a critical member of an Agile team, this candidate will work with other engineers on various software tools . The candidate will participate in all stages of client's Agile software development life cycle including story creation & estimation, task creation, coding, JUNIT creation, testing, sprint reviews and retrospectives. This individual will partner closely with other agile team members, including QA resources, scrum masters, and product owners in delivering high-quality software capabilities. They will collaboratively prioritize, define and track their tasks using Jira and other software engineering tools. GENERAL ACCOUNTABILITIES: - Software planning, design and review - Software development of applications and/or system components - Unit and Integration testing of developed code - Construct and update automated testing frameworks supporting developed code - Active participation in all daily scrums, planning sessions, sprint reviews, and retrospectives. JOB SPECIFICATIONS: - 9+ years of software engineering experience - Prefer experience working as part of an Agile team in a Scrum-based enterprise Agile environment. - Demonstrated expertise building and enhancing Java / J2EE based applications.
