Java Developer JOB DESCRIPTION: The architect provides support of an offshore development team by capturing requirements and defining the technical direction. They will define key elements of the application design in coordination with client technical staff for a complex technical environment. The technical environment includes distributed web systems across a virtual server farm. The architect will assist with other tasks such as establishing technical feasibility, work plan development, facilitation of technical discussions with other teams and documenting technical standards at the direction of the solution architect. The architect meets regularly and presents to client technology staff. The candidate should have strong Java software development skills and be able to set technical direction around ESB, ETL and application development. State government experience is preferred but not required for this role. REQUIRED SKILLS: . Must have hands-on and extensive experience with Java technology, specifically application servers, web servers and enterprise service bus. . Prior experience with *NIX servers, exposure to RDBMS (DB2, Oracle, SQL . Fundamental Understanding of the following concepts: HTML, J2EE, SSL, . In depth knowledge of the Configuration Management and Configuration management concepts and tools. Knowledge of Subversion preferred. Understanding of code branching, promotion groups, automated ant build scripting, concepts of archive and current folders, and setup of version management software across a large, diverse team . Team player, collaborative and supportive of a cooperative work environment . Strong communication skills .
