*Job Title : Drupal Developer Location : Washington, DC Duration : 3+ Month* Rate:45hr *Immediate Interview AND Immediate Closure* *Key Conversion Goals Our goals for the conversion are as follows: Allow visitors to select a Youth Topic and view on one page core content related to that topic. Allow visitors to select a federal agency and view on one page core content related to that agency. Improve the search functionality so that search returns are well-filtered for core content, and well-organized to make it easier to identify the types of content returned. Provide for the addition of one or more “micro-sites” that share some branding elements, but have their own organizational structure and navigation. Tagging between the main site and micro-sites should allow visitors of either to find relevant cored content in the other through the mechanisms listed in Items 1 through 3 above. Where feasible, integrate database-driven content so that database content is available through the mechanisms listed in Items 1 through 3 above. Allow for close integration of social media and Web 2.0 technologies over time. Simplify content entry and maintenance for non-technical content staff. General Development Process Review requirements and advise the Web development team to clarify and refine the developments as needed in order to successfully develop an effective Drupal site. Recommend a stable, reliable base architecture of well-established, reliable Drupal modules that will support the requirements. Assist the Web development team in establishing an implementation schedule. This would probably involve a phase 1 where the “base” modules are installed, configured, content is ported over, and everything is tested. This would provide 80% of the most important functionality by the target date. Later, a second phase would involve installing any remaining modules required for enhanced functionality. We will build the CMS version of the site in parallel with the current site, maintaining content as required in both until final launch. Advise on interface design and functionality, especially with regard to the functionality of page construction and integration of the Drupal interactive elements into user screens. AIR will provide graphic design and coding as needed. Install and configure the modules. Work side-by-side with AIR coders to teach them how to port the content over and control the Drupal system.
