Please forward a profiles to [email protected] Here are the requirement details Job Title:- Windows System Admin Location: Sunnyvale, CA Duration:- 3-6+ months (Contract Only) The Lead will work with existing system/storage administration, network support, and other IT personnel to deal with day-to-day issues and to plan upgrades and other projects. Teamwork is essential in this small group as well with cross-functional teams. As a Lead Windows System Administrator, you will provide technical management for the System Administrators on staff and vendors/contractors as required. Primary responsibilities: . Provide global technical oversight and senior level operational support of Production/QA/Development corporate infrastructures. . Manage and monitor corporate computing infrastructure operational tasks and issues among Systems Administrators in India and remote all US locations, ensuring high availability. . Manage and maintain windows servers including but not limited to Microsoft AD, Exchange 2007, Enterprise Vault, MS SQL, OCS, logging/compliance, discovery servers, etc. . Provide 3rd level escalation support for desktops. . Plan and coordinate upgrades, maintenance, and installations of existing and new computing infrastructure. . Manage and support system management and monitoring tools (HP Openview Operations, OVPI, BAC/Sitescope, Server Automation, etc.). . Manage and execute on projects within the team and cross-functionally. . Tune system performance. . Perform root cause analysis to resolve issues quickly in a complex IT environment. . Analyze capacity reports/ system logs and identifying potential issues with computer systems. . Perform routine audits and capacity planning of systems and software. . Perform backups. . Manage data centers world-wide. . Ensure SOX controls are followed and reports provided on quarterly basis. . Ensure high availability and security by updating and patching systems. . Evaluate, pilot, implement, integrate, and roll-out new solutions into existing data center environments. . Support remote sites' systems needs. . Participate and support IT Business Application and Customer Services groups' projects besides working on other infrastructure areas. . Update infrastructure technology strategies by staying up-to-date on industry trends and best practices. . Evaluate and manage vendors and contracts within budget. . Design systems to Business Continuity requirements, ensure run books and system documentation are up-to-date to for support and business continuity needs. . Provide budgeting input and create purchase requests for projects, maintenance, capital, and expenses. . Follow policies and procedures including those for ITIL incident, problem, change, and release management. . Train team, global service desk members, and users as needed. . Perform other duties as requested by manager. . Be able to respond to issues nights and weekends as needed, requiring carrying PDA 24/7. Other responsibilities: . Support NetApp SAN/NAS storage and VMware ESX infrastructure. . Manage external email gateways. . Manage backup, print, KVM/terminal servers. Requirements: Ability and experience with building highly available, robust, manageable, and secure solutions is a must. . Strong working knowledge of Windows server administration. . Strong working knowledge of email administration. . Strong working knowledge of system performance and capacity management, including MS SQL in physical and virtualized environment. . Strong working knowledge of VMware ESX environment. . Strong working knowledge of security and system best practices. . Working knowledge of enterprise storage infrastructure. . Understanding of integration points and business continuity considerations. . Organized and being detail oriented with high initiative. . Strong communication skills (written and presentations). . Ability to write and improve policies and procedures as necessary. . Must be able to work well with others. . Experienced with building out a site. . Strong project management and time management skills. . Experience in a heterogeneous, enterprise environment. . Linux, networking, and other related skills are highly desirable. . Ability to travel to other locations (both domestic and international) as needed, sometimes on short notice. QUALIFICATIONS: . BS or better in Computer Science or related field required . 7 or more years experience working in Windows system administration. . 2 or more years experience in a lead role. . Microsoft server certifications are desirable. .
