Looking for Tech Lead/Solution Architects immediately Location: Madison, WI Direct client 6-12 month duration Rate: $65 (lower rates will be considered first) *FIRST CONSIDERATION WILL GO TO LOCAL OR REGIONAL CANDIDATES THAT WILL DO A FACE TO FACE INTERVIEW AS FIRST STEP.* *Our internal notes after meeting with the manager yesterday* The manager is seeking three flavors of candidates: 1) Financial Systems experience (AP, AR, General Leger). Currently use GreatPlaines but not required. Any previous financial experience leading technical initiatives for insurance/financial institutions would be fine. 2) E-commerce - Redoing and updating web content. Flash, Java .Net - open to using new web technologies. 3) TIBCO / Informatica batch Middleware experience. All three flavor of candidates should be familiar with SQL and writing queries. They are an Oracle / PL/SQL shop. These people will be working with all the technical departments (DBA's, Infrastructure and definitely developers. They need to help lead the design and work with the technical orchestration. * * *POSITION SUMMARY* The Solution Architect candidate should have experience designing and implementing large corporate technical projects; Likely, as a senior developer or technical lead. The candidate should have a strong working understanding of the latest technologies, the ability to work with and influence both technical and business project team members, and be able to produce key architecture project artifacts, including design documentation, recommendations and decisions. *REQUIRED SKILLS* - Minimum of 5 years technology experience and at least 3 years of experience in development and/or detailed design. - Experience functioning as a consultant to other IT groups or as a recognized technical leader - Management of multiple small to large projects (Level II up to $1M) in a cross-functional organization*.* - Strong technical background in contemporary software development tools.
