*Principal Responsibilities: * · Responsible sql. for advising developer to come up with the optimum · Responsible for performance tuning of PL/SQL with the help of Oracle tools set. · Responsible for Database server optimization · Analyze and identify system improvements pertaining to performance or data processing procedures · Perform Database backup & Recovery using RMAN · Manage and support databases for overall operations of all Oracle databases environment. · Follow team policies, procedures, and standards relating to database management. Perform database backups and recoveries. *Experience: * · Minimum of 8 years’ experience in database tuning and administration is required. *Knowledge and Skills Required: * · Ability to work independently, with minimal supervision. · Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. · Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously. · Requires general knowledge and hands-on experience in all database disciplines, including logical and physical database design, database implementation, access optimization, security, storage management, system and application performance management, and database systems administration. · Extensive knowledge of database internals, data dictionary, PL/SQL coding, Backup & Recovery concepts, database security and monitoring (Grid Control). · Hands on experience in performance tuning and B&R using RMAN · Requires in-depth, hands-on expertise in Oracle 10g/11g, Unix (Aix/Solaris/Linux). · Hands on experience of Oracle 11gr2 RAC including ASM and B&R in a RAC environment. *Education, Training &/or Certification:* · Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent hands-on experience required.
