Please respond to my mail with updated resume with contact information. *ROLE : SAS Lead Consultant* *Duration : 6 – 12 months plus* *Location : Eagan, **MN* *Job Summary *This position is responsible for complex data analysis and leading data driven strategic projects to enable the Business to perform strategic data decision-making. The incumbent will primarily work independently within their project team and across the organization to plan, estimate, lead the analysis, design and implementation of data solutions from a project or enhancement initiation through development, testing, business acceptance approval and implementation of the solution. They may need to provide SAS Business Intelligence consultation, providing services to business and other IT areas throughout the company. They may assist in managing resources both on and off-shore and mitigate risk through multiple technical and business relationship environments. *Accountabilities * Works with varying levels of leadership in the business and technical staff to understand or communicate highly complex data and software problems. Participates as a highly technical expert in design, development, testing and debugging the BI solution or coordinating/leading significant projects or enhancements to current applications. Resolves customer complaints with a high level of customer service and initiates and delivers suggestions for improvements and enhancements. Assists project manager in developing project plans, schedules, status reporting, and issue/risk management. Will assist in coordination of project activities by assigning staff and monitoring work to remain within the defined timeline, budget and scope. May assist with the management of the vendor relationship (on and off shore), acting as a lead, guide and/or mentor. Able to lead or participate in the design, documentation and/or development of the user interface, metadata, stored procedure components and reports of the BI Solutions. Makes recommendations to modify procedures to solve highly complex problems considering performance, capacity limitations, operating time and corporate architecture guidelines. *Required Qualifications* Bachelors degree in Computer Science or related field and minimum of 6 years of related experience developing moderately complex reporting and analytical programs in a variety of languages like SAS EG, SAS BI, Business Objects, or other Business Intelligence tools. In lieu of a degree, requires 10 years of related experience developing moderately complex reporting and analytical programs in a variety of languages like SAS EG, SAS BI, Business Objects, or other Business Intelligence tool. *Additional Required Qualifications:* Demonstrated analytical, system and problem solving skills to apply conceptual thinking to highly complex, abstract situations and to create and innovate Demonstrated oral/written communication and presentation skills to effectively communicate business and complex technical information to non-technical audiences including executives, peers and internal and external vendors and customers. Demonstrated ability to design, evaluate and interpret complex data solutions based upon technical, business and industry knowledge. Demonstrated ability to work independently and in a team setting with individuals having diverse cultural or professional backgrounds including business, technical and /or clinical. Demonstrated support and develop of Business Intelligence user interfaces, information maps, reports and supporting code to meet the operation level agreement (OLA) and service level agreement (SLA). Demonstrated ability to influence, motivate and lead individuals and teams/units in analytical software development solutions *Preferred Qualifications* Expert knowledge of software development and project methodologies Expert knowledge of SAS BI Toolset, SAS Enterprise Guide and SQL In-depth knowledge of managed care and health care claims industry.
