*Need an expert SAP ABAP Developer for a 1yr-Contract in Houston, TX.* *Will hire from phone interview* *Provide following details when submitting. * * * * Skills Years Used* o ABAP o SAP o BW o Basis o R/3 Upgrades o BDC o Executing tests o perform long-chain tests * * * * *ABAP Developer: Expert* * * Detailed Job Description · Consults with multiple functional areas in identifying the technical capabilities to support the business process design of long-chain processes. · The objective is to develop common global processes utilizing as much standard SAP capability as possible. · Provides broad and deep SAP ABAP development knowledge in a leading role in the business process design effort. · Primarily operates at a strategic level. · Has a network of SAP/ABAP experts at other companies or with SAP to obtain advice on designs and resolutions to problems. This role would actively participate in this network. · Gives overall cross training sessions to ERP team · Participates with ERP Management in strategic decisions on how SAP will be used/extended/upgraded. · Works with developers from multiple teams in complex prototype efforts. Propose and complete a comparative analysis of alternate solutions for customer requirements as they relate to ABAP efforts. · Creates, follows and modifies the ABAP development standards as needed. Keeps on top of Best Practices in this area and updates standards accordingly. · Can develop with general specifications. Assists and coaches other ABAP developers. · Performs simple to complex ABAP development for reports, and interfaces. This would include BDC's and Call Transactions with general specifications. Also works with Basis to support application of Hot Packs/Patches. · Performs broad evaluations of SAP functionality and upgrades including functions extending beyond their direct functions. · Presents conceptual overviews of SAP to all levels of management. · Assists with developing preliminary cost estimates for implementing new functionality or upgrades. · Consulting skills are cross-functional. · Consults with cross-functional business experience. · Has self-directed contact with Business resources to propose solutions. · Propose or identify opportunities for business optimization based on technological upgrades. · Lead cross-functional teams in the evaluation of new functionality. · Assess the technical feasibility of new functionality, bolt-on applications, or interfaces. · Reviews design and configuration work of other developers to identify and resolve integration issues with related functionality. · Participates and/or leads on integration review teams. Is fully aware of integration points between his/her functional area and others. · Tech Review member · Consider Interaction and Integration of configuration design solutions. · General understanding of the BW tool. · Has specific Chemical Industry experience. · Has SAP knowledge and has been working with ABAP/SAP and has a strong understanding of more than one functional area.
