Desription

 

We are looking to add an experienced DBA to our team in Quincy, MA. Main focus is on Oracle with some alternate duties to cover SQL.


Required Experience:

• 8 to 10 years’ experience as a DBA managing Oracle and SQL Server database

• Oracle or Windows DBA experience required with backup and recovery methods.

• Responsible for database performance monitoring and tuning activities

• Responsible for database space management and planning

• Responsible for planning, scheduling, and implementing database upgrades and patches (Oracle & SQL Server)

• Responsible for supporting Development/Implementation/Testing environments

• Responsible for supporting Production environments

• Implementation and support of industry standard and security and audit procedures

• Identifies, Maintains & controls database servers configuration Items across oracle & sqlserver databases

• Working with development teams closely and provide assistance to developers as needed.

• May be required to provide on-call support during the peak load of project delivery

• Knowledge of quality processes

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively with developers and management

Prior Healthcare experience

• Prior Federal/State experience is a plus

 

Education:

 

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field
