Background:
The incumbent will work in the Systems Management (IMTSM) team, which is
responsible for maintaining IT operational infrastructure and providing the
following services to the organization: Server Systems administration
(Windows,  Linux, AIX, Solaris, and Virtualization platforms), End-User
Computing (engineering of software solutions for user access platforms),
Disk Storage and SAN administration, Data Backup and Restore
administration, Server Security administration, and operational and
infrastructure components of business continuity. Many related activities
like Capacity Planning, Performance Analysis, Software Distribution,
Availability Monitoring, and others are also performed by this group.

Duties and Accountabilities:
1.         Focus on Windows Systems Administration for HQ or CO based
instances of Microsoft Windows 2003 and 2008.
2.         Install, configure, and troubleshoot Microsoft 2003/2008 servers
and other Microsoft products in bank headquarters and local offices.
3.         Install, configure and troubleshoot Bank standard hardware and
firmware (currently Dell)
4.         Provide remote assistance and support to IT staff in the
different regions and end-users when necessary
5.         Provide support for server backup & monitoring
6.         Provide support for File/Print/Anti-virus servers
7.         Provide support for Citrix Xenapp infrastructure
8.         Coordinate with business units and IT staff in regions proposals
for upgrade and or implementation of new technologies/services as well as
procurement of hardware and software
9.         Participate in patch management and security administration for
Windows servers.
10.       In-depth analysis and problem resolution for complex operating
environments involving Microsoft, IBM, Citrix, EMC.
11.       Determine the impact of requirements on the existing
architecture, systems, and work processes. Work with affected areas to
ensure the proper review/communication of requirements and integration.
12.       Determine infrastructure system specifications for
hardware/software compatibility, in close collaboration with other IMT
teams and the Office of Information Security.
13.       Perform troubleshooting for security incidents that require
software and network forensic analysis, in close collaboration with other
IMT teams.
14.       Produce daily and weekly reports of activities and operational
status.
15.       Participate in audits, as needed, producing necessary
documentation, reports and explanations. Assist with the definition and
implementation of corrective measures aimed at correcting possible findings.

Selection Criteria:
1.         Bachelor’s degree(s) in Computer Science/Engineering or
Equivalent. Minimum Five consecutive years of system administration
experience.
2.         Microsoft MCSE and or equivalent 5 years experience supporting a
large installation of Microsoft Windows 2003/2008 servers
3.         Installation of Dell Servers or equivalent hardware
4.         Programming and scripting experience, preferably in Vbs or
Powershell
5.         In-depth knowledge of Windows OS internals, registries,
permissions
6.         Strong knowledge of Active Directory Management including: user
management, GPOs, building domains & forests
7.         Familiarity with performance analysis using performance
monitoring
8.         Good knowledge of TCP/IP networking and protocols (DNS, ICMP,
SMB, SSL/TLS, etc.)
9.         Patch management procedures for windows operating systems
10.       Initiative and resourcefulness in complex environments;
flexibility and ability to prioritize conflicting demands in high-pressure
and time-critical situations.
11.       Experience with Citrix XenApp configuration and management
12.       Strong knowledge of File\Print server management as well as
Anti-virus management tools
13.       Excellent interpersonal skills, including ability to work
effectively in a team/task force as a participant or team leader.
Demonstrated sensitivity to the Bank’s distinctive demographics and cross
cultural context and influences, including the ability to build effective
work relationships with clients and colleagues.
14.       Proven conceptual, analytical and evaluation skills. Ability to
break down raw information and undefined problems into specific, workable
components that, in turn, clearly identify the issues at hand. Makes
logical conclusions, anticipates obstacles and considers different
approaches that are relevant to the decision-making process.
15.       Excellent oral and written communication skills in the English
language. Able to prepare, present, and defend/explain technical
information to diverse types of audience (management, users, vendor, and
technical staff) in a way that establishes rapport and shares
understanding. Demonstrated ability to produce a wide range of deliverables
such as memoranda, requirements documents, status reports, terms of
reference (TORs), project plans, etc.
16.       Experience troubleshooting system hardware and software,
particularly to investigate problems related to end user devices.
17.       Familiarity with the following are a plus:
a.         Remote Monitoring and Management tools
b.         CA –Arcserve/IBM Tivoli Storage Manager
c.         Citrix XenDesktop
d.         IIS
e.         Lotus Notes
f.          Exchange
g.         Windows clustering technology
h.         VMWare
i.          Enterprise System Manager (ESM) or equivalent compliance tool
