Job Title: Mainframe Programmer
Location: Indianapolis, IN
Duration: 12 months
Job Requirements
Advanced knowledge of Indiana Child Support business processes and rules
used within ISETS;
Advanced knowledge of existing tools (CICS, TSO/ISPF, DB2, and JCL);
Advanced knowledge of Rational tools suite (ReqPro, ClearQuest, RDp,
ClearCase, etc.);
Advanced knowledge of COBOL and JAVA based information system design
principles and object oriented technology based systems design and
development techniques;
Advanced knowledge of information systems design principles and new systems
design techniques;
Advanced knowledge of application development software tools and
application development software languages;
Thorough knowledge of industry standards, procedures, and techniques used
for application development;
Thorough knowledge of the most recent advancement of information technology
equipment, operation, capabilities;
Thorough knowledge of both system and business applications and competent
to work at the highest technical level and/or specialized area;
Knowledge of the transition from legacy Mainframe environment to Object
Oriented platform;
Ability to work independently under general direction;
Ability to manage multiple software development efforts or existing systems
and related solution priorities;
Ability to evaluate service offerings from competing vendors based on
established criteria and personal experience;
Ability to read and understand complicated technical manuals to resolve
problems with application software;
Ability to establish and maintain a cooperative working relationship with
others;
Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing;
Ability to learn and grow knowledge of Child Support Enforcement.
