Job Title: Rational Performane QA Tester
Location: Tallahassee, FL
Duration: 6+ months
The department currently has the following tools available to be used for
the application of a testing methodology:
• Rational Quality Manager
• Rational Performance Tester (RPT)
• Rational Functional Tester (RPT)
• Rational Test Manager/Rational Robot
• AppScan
Although the department has not fully integrated the capabilities of these
tools into the development methodology, it is expected that the consultant
will provide recommendations and guidance so that efficiencies of
automation through the use of these tools can be realized.
Preferred:
Demonstrated experience with Rational Functional/Performance Tester
Experience working with health care information systems and/or knowledge of
business processes in the medical field and county health departments
Experience with SOA (Service Oriented Architecture) environments and

Experience training and mentoring staff
Experience with Health Level 7 (HL7) structure
Experience with the DOH Health Management System (HMS)
Required
Contractors will be required to complete this work on site at DOH
Experience with Test Automation Scripts
Strong knowledge of QA methodology and tools
Experience with distributed systems
Experience with testing in distributed and large scale data systems
Demonstrated knowledge of database structures and design
Experience with defining and implementing a performance testing approach
Demonstrated ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical
audiences and development staff
Experienced in technical specifications reviews and providing guidance and
feedback
Strong organizational skills
Track record of creativity and initiative
Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to
communicate effectively with business analysts, technical staff and subject
matter experts.
