*Performance Engineer* *Location: Eden Prairie, MN (local candidates preferred with great comm skills)* *Duration: 3+ months (could go out to 6 months)* *Rate: $50hr C2C max* *Role Overview / Qualifications: * *Performance Engineering resource as follows:* • Proficient in LoadRunner/jmeter • Knowledge of Keynote/Webmetrics a plus • This resource will be creating, executing, analyzing performance tests. MUST HAVE STRONG SCRIPTING SKILLS • This resource will also be creating, maintaining, analyzing production performance measurements • This resource needs to be local * Summary* The Performance Engineer is responsible for the following: • Review request specifications to develop performance scripts. • Execute performance test scenarios. • Compile and analyze performance data on ecommerce websites and applications. • Consult with internal customers and stakeholders in regards to application performance. • Adhere to, enforce and enhance the overall Performance Engineering best practices, strategy and methodology. *Education/Experience Requirements* • Bachelor's Degree in MIS/CS/Engineering. *• 2+ years of performance testing experience. • 2+ years of software development or quality assurance experience. • Intermediate knowledge of SQL. • Intermediate knowledge of web application technologies. • Intermediate computer programming skills.* • Intermediate understanding of IT systems infrastructure. • Strong Word, PowerPoint, and Excel skills. • Practical e-commerce experience. • Hands-on use of command-line driven technology such as Unix or Linux. *• Scripting skills in at least one common language (Perl, Ruby, Python, VBScript, Shell, etc.).* Confidentiality Requirements This position requires the individual to have access to confidential records and information, including but not limited to: • Client/Vendor information. • Personal development needs. • Financial information.
