Role : Architect- Capacity Management

 

This Division has a team of Engineers & Analysts globally that are
responsible for the Capacity Management function across our various plants.
Specifically, this team is the Product Managers (i.e., define the
requirements/direction) for a set of tools used centrally for this function,
construct all the operational processes governing Capacity Mgt, as well as
in the Institutional Trading domain by proactively analyzing the trends in
applications to flag concerns to stakeholders prior to it becoming an issue.

We specifically are looking for a senior developer to assess our current
tool platforms and suggest a set of development and application
infrastructure recommendations in order to ensure these remain the strategic
tool(s) to continue to use across the firm.

Skills Required
* ~8 to 10 years' experience developing web based applications with a proven
track record of inheriting existing code and recommending set of
optimizations that dramatically improved the technology
* Proficient in developing and architecting solutions in Perl, Linux/Bash,
Database/SQL, Web Services and Java that operate using real-time data
* Self-sufficient with strengths in communication including presenting to
senior stakeholders
* Self-Organized / Motivated / Excellent Multitasker / Proactive attitude
* Experience in significant migrations from target to source technology
platforms; including moving data feeds and changes to them
* Ability to stress test applications and provide a set of tuning
recommendations so it can scale
* Basic comprehension of Financial Services industry; specific knowledge in
Institutional Securities
* Experienced with building reporting dashboards/interfaces that can be
automated and distributed to users
