*PennDOT seeks 2 Senior Architects with in-depth experience of developing
WebSphere Message Broker process flows for the Gatekeeper Modernization
project. The primary goal of the project is to provide an enterprise-class
scalable, service oriented architecture (SOA) based solution for PennDOT’s
external business partners to access Driver Licensing (DL) and Vehicle
Registration (CARATS) system transactions via web services and the
Internet. WebSphere Message Broker will be used to accept incoming service
requests from business partners over the internet, authenticate and
authorize the requests in conjunction with IBM DataPower Appliance,
transform and enrich the requests by adding additional data elements from
SQL data sources and changing them to a format acceptable to the legacy
IMS/COBOL Driver Licensing and Vehicle Registration systems, invoke the
appropriate IMS/COBOL transactions, and send responses back to the business
partners.*
*
*
*The 2 Senior Architects will be core members of the Gatekeeper Development
team. They will participate in requirements gathering, as necessary, and
perform hands-on design, development, integration, testing,
troubleshooting, and implementation of Message Broker process flows. They
will be responsible for post production support of the new Gatekeeper
solution. Experience implementing Message Broker based process flow
solutions that invoke backend IMS/COBOL transactions and integrate with
DataPower appliances is a plus. Communication skills, written and verbal,
are required.*
*
*
*Specific Duties:*
*
*
*1.Participate in requirements gathering, as necessary, and document
requirements.*
*2.Design and implement end to end Gatekeeper process flows. *
*3.Mentor other developers that are less experienced in developing Message
Broker process flows. *
*4.Work with infrastructure/server engineers to resolve issues that may be
encountered in integrating Message Broker with other architectural
components, for example, IBM DataPower Appliance, backend IMS transactions.
This applies to all environments – Development, System Test, and
Production.*
*5.Perform effective troubleshooting to rapidly resolve problems.*
*6.Design, plan, and implement stress/performance tests for workflows.*
*7.Participate in implementation planning*
*8.Troubleshoot and correct post production issues.*
*

Thanks & Regards,
Ahmed*
