The primary goal of the project is to provide an enterprise-class scalable, service oriented architecture (SOA) based solution for PennDOT’s external business partners to access Driver Licensing (DL) and Vehicle Registration (CARATS) system transactions via web services and the Internet. WebSphere Message Broker will be used to accept incoming service requests from business partners over the internet, authenticate and authorize the requests in conjunction with IBM DataPower Appliance, transform and enrich the requests by adding additional data elements from SQL data sources and changing them to a format acceptable to the legacy IMS/COBOL Driver Licensing and Vehicle Registration systems, invoke the appropriate IMS/COBOL transactions, and send responses back to the business partners.* * * *The 2 Senior Architects will be core members of the Gatekeeper Development team. They will participate in requirements gathering, as necessary, and perform hands-on design, development, integration, testing, troubleshooting, and implementation of Message Broker process flows.
