We are seeking a Network Architect for our direct end client in Atlanta, GA.

Duties of the Role:



1.Provide expert consultation for major network initiatives or incidents.

2.Produce and/or endorse network standards.

3.Provide advice and recommendations specific to customer requirements.

4.Evaluate emerging technologies against business and IT strategic needs.

5.Serve as a key representative on major network initiatives .

6.Update standards and guidelines.

7.Review the feasibility of new and existing IT projects

8.Write technical and business documentation.

9.Lead high level scoping and costing activities.

10.Guide and influence team members and business colleagues.

11.Create presentations/solutions and articulate to boards and executives.

12. Work with other SMEs and technical support teams in the pursuit of
technically excellent solutions.

13. Produce technically excellent solutions architecture that is aligned to
business needs and direction.

14. Review and evaluate disaster recovery strategies

15. Review designs for standards compliance, architecture compliance and
negotiate implementation timeframes.

16. Work with the network operations and project delivery teams to promote
network standards and compliance

17.Collaborate with business users, technical staff and management to
define business and technical requirements

18. Research, evaluate and approve vendor services and solutions

19. Provide technical direction and frameworks to meet business needs.



*Minimum Requirements:*

·

   - Ability to thrive in a high-pressured, customer – oriented environment.
   - 7+ years’ experience (3+ years in an engineering role capacity) in the
   design, implementation and support of large network systems, including
   Cisco routers (ISR, ASR), switches (L2/L3, Catalyst, Nexus) and firewalls
   (ASA).
   - 3+ years’ experience in the implementation and support of F5 hardware
   load balancers, Juniper SSL/VPN and Infoblox IPAM.
   - Extensive experience with:
      - WAN and LAN routing protocols (EIGRP, IGRP, BGP, HSRP).
      - Ethernet switch technologies (spanning tree (STP/RSTP).
      - Wireless network technologies: 802.11/ABGN, Cisco WCS and access
      points.
      - Network authentication protocols: TACACS, RADIUS.
      - Network monitoring protocols: SNMP, Netflow, JFlow, IPMon.
      - Design and implementation MPLS and QoS.
      - Design and implementation of converged networks (FCoE)
   - Experience designing highly-available network environments and
   disaster recovery capabilities.
   - Working knowledge of Windows Server 2003/2008 and Active Directory,
   including DNS, DHCP and Sites/Services..
