WILL WORK ON-SITE IN ORANGE COUNTY CA. *REQUIREMENTS/JOB DESCRIPTION:* The candidate must be a self-motivated, self-starter with demonstrated ability to perform under minimum supervision in a very fast paced, complex environment. Candidate must demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills to effectively communicate with all levels of management, customers and other employees. Candidate must be flexible and willing to handle such tasks that will vary in level of experience. *RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:* You will assist staff with technical support of desktop computers, applications, and related technology. Support includes specification, installation and testing of all county owned computer systems that fall within the established guidelines and standard operating procedures. You will be working directly with end users. This individual will also be assisting the network engineers with various tasks related to server hardware support. This position requires problem solving, effective communication skills, and the ability to work independently. Candidate will also ensure that all documentation for processes and procedures are available and updated regularly. Candidate would need to be knowledgeable in the following areas. - Microsoft Exchange administration - 2003/2007/2010 - Microsoft Windows administration 2000/2003/2008 - Active Directory experience and some DNS/DHCP support - SCCM experience a plus - Linux/Unix experience a plus - VMWare experience a plus - ITIL certification a plus - Remedy, Track-It, or any other ticket tracking use a plus An adjusted work- week including evenings and weekends 24/7 may be required. *EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:* The candidate must have 3-5 years or more of experience in performing the duties outlined above as well as: The candidate must have a Bachelors degree in Computer Science or Information Technology or equivalent related fields. Candidate must have MCSE or equivalent experience in Microsoft Products. Must have an outstanding ability to analyze problems, propose solution options and structure solution plans. Experience in IT software deployment and/or migration is required. Microsoft Exchange administration and engineering a plus The candidate must have excellent communication, interpersonal and presentation skills. ITIL certification or similar experience is desired.
