* * *Title: Business/Systems Analyst * *Location: Irvine, CA* *Long Term* *Interview process: Phone interview and face to face. prefer local candidates* *Key: BSA skills, freehand SQL and data extraction and data extraction, fixed income or trade * Qualifications We seek a business/systems analyst with strengths in the following areas: team player with strong communication skills; ability to define business requirements and create technical specifications for developers; experience with testing large-scale software applications in a production environment; good multitasking skills, project management experience and presentation skills. Creation of technical specifications will require a firm grasp of relational database models for writing freehand SQL and data extraction. Experience with application development process and/or programming experience a plus. I. Business Expertise • Good understanding of the securities industry • Strong Experience with *fixed income instruments* • Knowledge of working with Bloomberg trade feeds • Experience with Trade Processing platform and life cycle II. Analyst Skills • Team player with strong communication skills • Coordinate project team activities throughout the software development lifecycle • Facilitate communications upward to the management level, customers and across all development units (e.g. business analysis, development, release management). • Daily tasks include business requirements analysis, technical specifications drafting for developers, and testing new software enhancements/fixes • Experience with financial data systems a plus • Bloomberg exposure a plus III. Technical Skills • Well versed in freehand SQL and data extraction • Experience with Unix platform • Firm grasp of relational database models • Programming experience a plus • IV. Experience with Application Development Process Good project management and multitasking skills Experience testing software designed for elaborate business scenarios V.
