*EAD, GC, USc ONLY...* *Netbackup Administrator * *Chicago, IL* *12+-week contract* *Responsibilities:* Netbackup Administrator works under the direction of the Data Center Manager to assist in daily *Netbackup 7* support and administration including monitoring / troubleshooting of failed backup jobs, performing daily health checks on master servers, and basic backup policy creation. *Responsibilities:* - Monitor Service Manager queue and resubmit failed backup jobs from previous night - Remediate re-occurring backup issues on clients to ensure successful backups - Assign tickets to system engineers for clients unable to connect to * Netbackup* and assist in remediation of client issues - Build basic backup policies based on our documented procedures and/or requirements outlined by the *NetBackup* team - Perform Daily health check lists on master servers per our documented process and escalate any anomalies - Assist in pulling various *Netbackup* reports to validate success rates on new policies built by the team *Qualifications:* - Must be able to commit for 12 WEEKS, 40 hours a week - Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent years of experience in IT - 3-5 years of experience in managing and supporting Enterprise level backup services and infrastructure with solid expertise in *Symantec NetBackup 7.1* required - Expertise in troubleshooting *Netbackup* status codes and remediation of failed backup jobs - Solid experience in data protection concepts and backup policy management - A+ / N+ / MCP Certifications, required - Proficient in the support of Windows / UNIX / Linux operating systems is preferred - Basic understanding and use of Microsoft applications: Word, Excel, Outlook, etc. - Excellent documentation skills and attention to detail - Ability to take direction and follow through with requests - Ability to work the hours as needed Regards, Sara Wilson - Technical Recruiter Direct : 646-340-0603 [email protected] -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Open Source J2EE frameworks" group.
