Position:DB2 Application Developer
Location:Englewood, CO
Duration:6 months
Technical Skills
- Strong Database knowledge around DDL and DML statements and Data 3NF
modeling techniques
- Strong PL/SQL programming experience on DB2 including programming
packages, functions,
procedures, triggers
- Experience to do Extract – Transform – Load (ETL) operations using
PL/SQL stored procedure
programming is highly desirable
- Ability to create / analyze existing complex SQL statements with
outer and inner joins spanning multiple
database tables
- Experience in doing a peer review of PL/SQL code and sharing
effective feedback is desirable
- Experience in performance tuning of SQL queries using Explain plans,
investigating bottlenecks /
hotspots, providing recommendations to improve execution
performance of queries including index
Job Description
- Exposure to database performance tuning parameters is a big plus
- Experience with Unix / Linux shell scripting is a big plus
- Experience migrating codebase from Development to QA to Acceptance
to Production environments (end
to end programs) is a plus
- Exposure to managing and troubleshooting issues on production is desired
