Send me profiles : [email protected] *Job Title: Mobile Application Development / Design* *Location : Baltimore , MD * *Relocation: Yes* *PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:* Development and/or modification of mobile business applications to solve business problems, considering latest mobile application architectural styles, operating costs and business needs. Has technical knowledge of all components of various mobile applications and backend services supporting these mobile applications. Has technical skill and experience necessary to develop complex custom mobile solutions. Works with the technical team and management to propose mobile system strategies to support company needs. 1. 30% Create, document and maintain native and hybrid mobile applications, which includes detailed design, development across mobile platforms (iOS/ Android/ other). Lead the technical analysis and evaluation of new mobile technologies, mobile applications testing strategies, and mobile application enhancements with a strong point of view on end-user functionality, performance and maintenance. Provide hands on approach to mobile development. 2. 20% *Leads a team of developers to design, develop, and implement various mobile applications and integration with various backend systems. Lead the technical vendor integration, which may include single sign on and web service integration. Performance monitoring, capacity planning, system tuning, availability planning*; 3. 20% Provides assistance in diagnosing production problems with mobile applications and associated backend systems. Acquire SME level knowledge of existing and future mobile applications and other critical backend systems that feed the data to mobile applications. 4. 10% Develop, coordinate and manage projects and project plans for development; develop proposals and delivery tasks/issues. Assists in resource planning and projected development needs. 5. 10% Estimates the technical costs of projects for clients and project managers, confers with clients to identify requirements and determines their desired outcomes in order to formulate the design of the system and/or offer alternative solutions in a timely manner. 6. 10% Mentors new or junior staff members on business knowledge, system peculiarities, and complex technical issues. *QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS: * Familiarity with mobile technologies and how these could be leveraged to benefit the department, new business strategies and corporate initiatives. *Experience in mobile application development for iOS platform*. Has technical knowledge of all components of iOS platform and mobile application architectural styles e.g. native, hybrid and mobile web*. * Familiarity with how mobile applications integrate with various backend systems over different protocols/network protocols*.* *Required: * This position requires a BA/BS in computer science or related IT field OR equivalent experience. *Must also have a minimum of 8 years of experience in web and/or mobile application design, development and performance tuning, as well as familiarity with web services design and development.** * *Minimum of 3 years of mobile development experience for various mobile devices e.g. phones, tablets etc. on iOS platform. Any experience with Android is plus.*** *Abilities/Skills*: Knowledge of system analysis and design methodologies and tools for mobile application development and experience with large and complex mobile applications. *Experience with multi-system/platform integration with mobile applications*. Experience and demonstrated expertise in the following: *Experience with Objective-C development. * Strong understanding of server side software, scalability, performance, and reliability aspects. *Experience with developing for multiple form factors (phone, tablet, etc.) preferred. * *Experience with web services: REST, SOAP, XML, JSON. * *Experience with HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript (jQuery Mobile), AJAX. XCode, Eclipse or RAD. * Ability to operate in a high-energy, high-intensity and rapidly evolving environment. Outstanding written and verbal communication skills *Preferred**:* BS in Computer Science, Experience with some or all of the following: *Experience with Android development. * Health insurance industry knowledge. Experience with WebSphere Application Server/ Portal Server.
