12 MONTHS This role reports to the Director of Release Management *Responsibilities* As a Senior Release Manager, you will be responsible for delivering successful releases for Digital Technology. Core responsibilities include: · Work closely with Change Control Board, Release Managers, and Technology Partners (including Project Managers) to track/document/report on release readiness activities based on current release management best practices/processes. - Enforce the release framework and governance to facilitate delivery of technology change events · Maintains accurate and up-to-date release schedule; consult Project Managers and Release Lead when release date changes occur. · Understands Release Exceptions process and informs Release Lead and Project Managers when escalation is needed. - Manage processes to mitigate deployment risk through planning, scheduling, and tracking the portfolio of scheduled change - Drive risk mitigation of cross program/experience interdependencies - Determine safe landing zones to support the organizations velocity for change - Partner with engineering teams and technology partners to continuously improve release process - Partner with continuous delivery and build/configuration management teams to achieve efficiencies in the software development lifecycle - Manage test environment entry and exit criteria - Understand all change activity including status, risks and deployment activities - Provide reporting on release health to key stakeholders * * *Skills, Knowledge, Qualifications & Experience:* · Bachelor’s degree in IT, Business, or related field. Two additional years of applicable experience in lieu of a degree. · Three years of experience in Change or Release Management in a technology environment. · Technical education or equivalent combination of technical training plus a minimum of two years technology exposure/experience. · Understanding of release management processes · Understanding of environment management, software configuration management · Strong influencing skills and ability to interact with senior management · Must have effective oral and written communication skills and ability to represent the Release Management team in a professional manner to Consumer Digital Leadership, business stakeholders, engineering teams, project teams, vendors, and the greater Nike community. · Ability to redirect and adjust in a change-driven/high-volume work environment. · Office Productivity Tools knowledge required (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
