Role : SAP FICO Location : Chicago, IL Duration : Longterm *Description of duties and responsibilities:* This position will report to the Director ERP Program Major responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following: · Understanding advanced, integrated business processes; identifying and recognizing global integration consequences. · Working with the other Business Process Functional Teams, Application Development Teams, and Technology Services Teams, as well as stakeholders and the end users, to analyze, design, develop, modify, test, and implement software solutions and applications to satisfy Client’s global business requirements in line with SAP’s Best Practice · Researching the SAP system, other resources to bring innovative solutions to business requirements Identify and document gaps between legacy system and New SAP systems. Work with business to · Creating design specifications for programs in all aspects of SAP’s proprietary *ABAP/4* programming language. Completing documentation of software solutions, SAP configuration and program modifications according to departmental standards. · Consulting with stakeholders and end users to determine business process and application development requirements and serving as their contact throughout the project, ensuring requirements and progress are communicated accurately to key stakeholders. · Working pro-actively with the business side to understand their strategic direction and how to support the execution of their strategies most effectively · Comprehending and performing challenging configuration tasks and testing; resolving complex user reported issues in a timely manner. · Successfully handling multiple projects, workshops and completing them on time, on budget and exceeding customer expectations. *Special knowledge, skills and abilities required:* · Strong business experience coupled with high energy, drive and motivation to succeed. · 5-7 years configuration experience in the SAP *FI* Module, fluent in *CO* Module, Fixed Assets and Treasury · In depth knowledge of the functionality of the SAP *FICO*modules, with emphasis on *Finance, COPA, Vertex and Reporting*. · Working knowledge of the functionality of the integration points to all of the other core SAP modules (*SD, MM, PP*). · Knowledge of product costing, workflow, toll manufacturing and shared services is a plus. · Knowledge of ABAP workbench, credit and dispute management as well as bank integration is desirable. · Knowledge of the SAP *Solution Manager*, ASAP *methodology* and SAP *Best Practices* are a major plus. · Ability to take user requirements, design appropriate solutions and carry them through implementation including integration testing and end user training · Indepth knowledge of standard SAP reports in needed BW knowledge is desirable but not required · Proven experience through *at least 3 full life cycle implementations of SAP ECC*. Consulting experience is a plus. · Exceptional communication skills, strong interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with global teams.
