Sr. PL/SQL Developer Positions: 2
*Start: Middle of October * End: Through April 2014 Location: Pleasanton, California Here's a little background on the project: The CA Diamond 950 Scalability project is to remediate the existing legacy application to scale to handle a membership volume of 1.9MM members and an annual claims/encounters receipt volume of at least 17MM transactions by 1/1/2014, and a membership volume of 7MM members and an annual claims/encounters receipt volume of at least 100MM transactions by 1/1/2015. Required skills: - 10 years of extensive hands-on experience with *performance tuning* of SQL and PL/SQL for Oracle 10g DB-based applications in fast-paced, dynamic optimization projects. - Must have strong analytical skills with solid design and development skills implementing complex business logic, with experience in converting nested PL/SQL into plain SQL, - addressing performance impacts with functional indexes and different types of joins, and using Hints for Query Optimizer. - Must have experience performing extensive sql tuning utilizing SQL Trace, TK Prof, Explain plan, V$ views to optimize database and application performance. - Experience with design and development of automated text scripts for verification of business logic is a plus.
