Teradata Developer with Unix/ Perl/Python Scripting

Duration: Six months

Location: San Jose, CA

Rate: DOE

Relevant experience must include data analysis, Teradata SQL programming,
Unix scripting and familiarity with database applications and database
engineering in general.  The candidate must be self-starter and able to
work within a dynamic team



QUALIFICATIONS:

•     5-7 years of post-college working experience within the Data-Mining,
Quantitative Research or Analytics organization

•     5+ years of experience with full life-cycle development in Data
Warehousing and Data Integration projects using Teradata

•     3+ years of experience in Linux/Unix/Perl/Python scripting and
working with the Teradata utilities : FastExport, BTEQ, FastLoad and MLoad

•     Understanding of various Data Warehousing related concepts such as
scheduling, restart/recovery and error handling

•     Experience in data research/analysis with a focus on data quality and
consistency. Understanding of issues regarding Data quality and how to
resolve those issues

•     Expertise in SQL tuning specific to Teradata, database record and log
file manipulation (using SQL, Perl, Python, etc.)

•             Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering or equivalent is
desired
