Position: BC/DR Engineering Resource Location: King of Prussia, Pennsylvania Duration: 6 months Role Description Overview: This role will take a lead technical role in the implementation and testing of a Business Continuity/Disaster Recovery (BC/DR) solution being designed and delivered by our Client’s IT Enterprise Architecture Compute team. The solution will include VMware Site Recovery Manager (SRM), EMC Recoverpoint, and VCE Vblock technologies. The Enterprise Architecture Compute workstream is responsible for the strategy, design, testing, qualification, and implementation of Data Center infrastructure components such as backup, storage, recovery, archive, failover, disaster recovery, servers, and Vblocks (EMC). Responsibilities: · Lead the design of an enterprise-wide BC/DR solution · Write technical documentation (technical specs, reference architectures, test scripts, · design guides, etc.) · Work with Customer validation and compliance leads to qualify the BC/DR solution as · Required · Develop and implement testing scenarios for failover and failback of single-tier, multi-tier · systems, and entire site failures supported by both standard and advanced (Cisco OTV) · networking · Work with the Customer IT Communications/Change Enablement lead to ensure that · project stakeholders and · Create technical training materials, SOPs, and other operational process documents · required to transition the solution to a production state · Run technical training sessions as required to transition support to IT Operations staff · Adhere to time, cost and quality constraints of the BC/DR project Technical Skills: · Hands on knowledge and troubleshooting skills with VMware vCenter, SRM, · 1000V, and SAN equipment, architectures and data replication software · Working knowledge of operating systems with specific administrative knowledge · of Microsoft Windows Server and Linux · Sound understanding of solution generation and implementation within the IT · architecture space · Experience in Plan, Design, Build & Deliver of core infrastructure solutions · Demonstrable experience with VMware’s products (VMware ESX, vCenter, SRM, · vCenter Operations) in a medium to large size organization · _ Strong Unix or Linux systems skills · Windows Server Operating system knowledge IT Compute Re-architect Program · Solid understanding of Cisco network and EMC storage design and implementations Education and Experience: · A Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, related field or equivalent experience · 8+ years experience in technology related work, the last five of which should be · as an systems engineer or consultant working for a firm providing BC/DR · solutions based on the aforementioned technologies · Previous Biotech/Pharma experience strongly preferred · Knowledge of pharmaceutical industry validation/compliance requirements and · Practices · VMWare VCP certification preferred Soft Skills: · Must be effective in working both independently and in a team setting · Strong listening skills · Excellent communication skills, both written and oral · Excellent technical documentation skills -- Thanks & Regards, vijay Reddy Sage IT, Inc.
