*Job Title: Business Analyst(Insurance)* *Location: Houston, TX* *Duration: 6 Months* *Job Description:* Goals and Objectives • Standardized SDLC “Application Development phases only” (Discovery through Implementation phases): o Determine whether one common set of SDLC workflows, checklist, tools, naming standards, document templates can be put into place across L&RIT. o Define and recommended a common set of SDLC workflows, checklist, tools, naming standards, document templates that will be put into place across L&RIT. • Common Centralized SDLC Repository: o Determine whether a common centralized SDLC Repository Document Management Platform can be put into place across L&RIT. o Define and recommend a common centralized SDLC Repository Document Management Platform that will be put into place across L&RIT. • Determine which LBs repositories and SDLC Tools will be candidates for retirement. • Provide a roadmap that recommends an approach to complete project from requirements through deployment by LB based on discovery findings. *Key Deliverables (Gate 1) * Standardized SDLC “Application Development phases only” • Document all work flows, checklist, tools, metrics, templates, naming standards, procedures and process used by each BU/Functional area which have exceeded ADM SDLC Tier 1 standards. • Document the difference between existing L&R IT LBs SDLC “Application Development phases only” (Discover through Implementation phases) processes, workflows, tools, checklist, metrics, naming standards & templates across L&R IT currently in use today which have exceeded ADM SDLC Tier standards. o Evaluate and Document which workflows, tools, checklist, metrics, naming standards & templates can be reused that exceeded ADM SDLC Tier 1 standards. • Evaluate and Document which option is a better long term choice for L&RIT Buy vs. Build vs. Reuse. o Application Lifecycle Management (ALM). o Software Version Library o Project Planning Tool • Bring recommendations forward to L&R CIOs for future consideration. • Provide a high-level design Application Lifecycle Management (ALM). • Provide a high-level design Software Version Library • Decided which Project Planning Tool L&RIT will standardize on. Common Centralized SDLC Repository • Document the existing SDLC repositories across L&R IT. o Document all costs associated with current usage by system o Document repositories capabilities, supportably, pro’s and con’s • Provide a score card that will evaluate which of the LBs repositories can be reused, o Determine which option is a better long term choice for L&RIT Buy vs. Build vs. Reuse • Document which repositories will be recommended to be retired once a common SDLC document repository platform has been selected. • Present findings and recommendations with L&R IT CIOs and directs reports • Provide a high-level design for a common centralized SDLC document repository across all of L&R IT. *Key Deliverables (Gate 3 and beyond) * • Deploy a common set of SDLC “Application Development” processes, workflows, checklist, and metrics that assist PMs in delivering SDLC artifacts (focusing on Discovery to Implementation phases) according to AIG standard and in a consistent and repeatable way. SDLC Tools to be development, implemented and deployed which are included as part of this project are noted below: Application Lifecycle Management Software Version Library Detail Project Planning Tool However for the other SDLC Tools this project will identify but Does NOT include evaluation or delivery of other common SDLC Tools like iRise, Quality Center, resource burns down charts, resource management such as PPM, or development tool kits such as Rational Suite) Develop, test, implement, train and deploy of a common centralized SDLC document repository across all of L&R IT. Document and publish migration and deployment roadmap by LBs Once a common SDLC repository selected and implemented, we will retire other SDLC repositories according to deployment plan.
