Length: 12months
Location: UT
Description of Duties:
Design and deliver high quality software according to internal and customer
driven specifications (utilizing OO principles)
•Provide accurate estimates of engineering effort and meet time commitments
•Participate in software design and architectural discussions
•Take initiative, identify solutions, make responsible recommendations, and
own issues through satisfactory resolution
•Include automated unit tests in all development projects
•Analyze and code complex modules, define data structures, and specify test
tools and methodologies
•Contribute to the development and achievement of organizational goals and
objectives
•Participate in the continuous improvement of the development process
•Perform research on new technologies and make recommendations for
incorporation into the product
Required Skills and Experience:
•BS/MS Computer Science or equivalent experience in Software Development
•4+ years of experience in commercial software development
•Thorough understanding of OO methodologies and design experience
•Strong technology expertise/mastery in multiple areas
Web technologies such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, AJAX, jQuery
.Net, C#, ASP.NET MVC, C++
Development environments including Visual Studio
Advanced JavaScript skills, including model binding libraries such
as Backbone, Knockout or similar.
Good understanding of responsive HTML/CSS
Database technologies including SQL Server
Web Services using REST and JSON
Microsoft Operating Systems (Windows Server 2012, Windows 8, etc.)
•Excellent interpersonal and communications skills
•Excellent time management, decision making, prioritization and
organization skills
•Strong technical troubleshooting skills and problem solving
•Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects and initiatives
•Innovative, creative problem solver with an eye for detail and accuracy
•Demonstrates the ability to think through situations and develop
appropriate solutions
•Must be able to work well with others as part of a team
•Experience working in Agile/Scrum product delivery environments
