*Please send me your updated resume along with the best hourly rate and availability.* *An early response is really appreciated* *Please refer somebody if you are not interested for this position* *Job Title:** Oracle Apps DBA with WebCenter* *Location: **Northfield, IL, US* *Duration: 6 Months* *Rate: DOE* *Qualifications:* *PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES:* - Install and Support (Production, Test, QA and Development ) of WebCenter Portal - Analyze and implement the physical database design and structure, ensure enterprise database environments are in optimal condition, manage production databases in Client environments, and support complex problem-solving challenges. - Create and review physical data models, coordinating data security restraints and actively supporting test plans/environments, benchmarks and statistics. - Improve the quality and reduce defects in all database environments and Application server environments by providing performance and tuning. - Follow back up procedures to ensure the recoverability of all production data for operational and business continuation needs. - Understand and apply advanced database administration, management and performance tuning techniques - Provide technical advice and expertise to less senior staff members - Provide on call support as part of a scheduled rotation with other team members - Provide advanced technical troubleshooting for applications and database systems with emphasis on root cause analysis - Participate in design and application review sessions, assist with definition of computing standards and recommend policies related to those standards - Configure and tune hardware and software to insure optimum performance and resource utilization - Understand server clustering techniques and the impact on database configuration and performance - Develop advanced shell scripts, SQL and PL/SQL scripts in support of database operations - Enforce Security policies and procedures on databases - Write, debug and tune sql and pl/sql, packages, procedures, functions, triggers, etc. - Provide expertise with OEM , RMAN backups/restores and EBS Cloning - Update SRS systems as appropriate - Develop weekly status reports - Timely issues escalation - Training & knowledge transfer of activities/tasks *ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:* - 3 years or more of experience installing and managing WebCenter Portal - 5 years or more of proven experience in complex ERP environment. - 5 years multiple lifecycle management for Oracle EBS implementation including high availability and disaster recovery management. - 5 years EBS DB Performance and tuning experience. - Extensive Oracle EBS 11i/12 implementation experience. - Demonstrated proficiency in backup and recovery procedures is a plus - Experience with Oracle Applications technology stack, including architecture, installation, configuration, maintenance, cloning and patching procedures - Demonstrated successful ability to build positive partnerships and work collaboratively with cross-functional business teams. - Ability to function at a high level of effectiveness, flexibility, independence and initiative without daily interaction with management.
