Location: Dallas, TX. Only W2 -NO C2C Job Description Overview The Senior Web Developer position will be accountable for custom web development throughout the entire project life cycle. The right individual for this role will be a motivated and energetic developer who takes initiative, enjoys finding solutions to a varying number of challenges, is detail-oriented, and takes pride in their work. Must want to work in a start-up environment, where this individual will be hands-on with the development of systems. This position will report to the Director of Technology. Experience *Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or equivalent in experience and education required. *5+ years of experience in software development *4+ years of experience in the following coding languages/data access: Microsoft SQL 2005+, ADO.NET <http://ADO.NET> , Entity Framework, Web Services, N-Tier Design, Visual Studio.NET (2008/2010/2012), ASP.NET <http://ASP.NET> (3.5/4.0/4.5), MVC (2/3/4), JSON, AJAX. *4+ years of experience in systems support role with demonstrated results in analytics, configuring, coding, testing, problem solving and support. Skills *Hands-on experience in software development process (requirements gathering and use case definition, design and implementation of the software solution, planning and execution of the project). *Excellent hands-on C#/.Net development experience. *Experience with version control software (SVN, Perforce, etc.). *Experience with various development paradigms such as procedural languages, object oriented languages, message-oriented-middleware, and ETL tools. *SQL experience preferred. *Experience implementing 3^rd party systems and designing integration points to other systems. *Experience with automated unit and/or functional testing methods. *Experience with Agile development methodologies, specifically Scrum. *Ability to effectively communicate technical issues and solutions to peers and external vendors. *Good organizational skills. *Strong analytical and problem solving skills. *Open-minded and passionate about learning new technologies. *Good oral and written communication skills. Responsibilities *Maintain up-to-date knowledge of all architecturally determined technologies. *Involved in the full systems life cycle and is responsible for designing, coding, testing, implementing, maintaining and supporting applications software that is delivered. *Assist in team evaluations and discussions regarding the development of new code or reuse of existing code. *Follow determined and existing architectural and conceptual patterns to ensure application coding consistency. *Web development per project needs, including but not limited to prototyping, determining technical requirements, development or implementation of procedures for ongoing web site revision and creation. *Participate in team code reviews and adhere to predetermined documentation and coding standard guidelines. *Evaluate or recommend potential software for potential to meet design and business needs. *Recommend and implement performance improvements. *Identify problems uncovered by testing or customer feedback, and correct problems. *Provide guidance and mentor developers on proper coding usage. *Administer source control configurations, security, merges, and branching. *Coordinate deployments though build server to environments. *Small project leadership and coordination.
