*Please send me your updated resume along with the best hourly rate and availability.* *An early response is really appreciated* *Please refer somebody if you are not interested for this position* *Job Title: Cognos Business Intelligence Analyst * *Location: San Francisco, CA* *Duration: 6+ Months* The Business Intelligence Analyst provides primary Business Intelligence tools design and administration, development and support services for the reporting environments with responsibilities that include designing and developing complex reports (self-service, ad-hoc, and automated), generating on-demand reporting and analytics for business planning and decision-making, and auditing the consistency, stability, and quality of database information often coordinating support for underlying systems. The Analyst works as liaison between information systems and multiple business departments to ensure complex projects with multidimensional data reporting requirements are delivered successfully. *Responsibilities:* · Work with business users to identify and prioritize their business requirements · Assess the best way to apply and leverage new BI technology and help the business to develop the necessary processes to fulfill the business requirements · Prepare scope definition and document business rules · Work with BI engineers to ensure development work is completed to the defined business specifications · Develop test plans \ testing documentation, drive User Acceptance Testing and work with the business users to validate sign-off criteria. · Coordinate the development and maintenance of complex reports with end users within Cognos and SSRS and supporting technologies. · Serve as primary support contact for end users and liaise with business department stakeholders on complex reporting projects. · Extract, analyze, identify, and solve complex issues with data available in reporting environments in support of business decision-making reporting efforts. · Coordinate the creation of new, and audit existing systems support components to ensure data availability for effective reporting and analysis.
