Technical experience with High availability of SQL server databases and “Always ON” feature · *Participate in design and architecture* review of the databases and application. Lead efforts with database topology review and communicate with multiple teams to finalize optimal design for databases and applications · *Require strong skills in performance monitoring and administering using System Center Operation Manager 2007 and System Center Operation Manager 2012*. Create and manage capacity and performance charts, deploy management packs, troubleshoot misconfigured or malfunctioning monitoring, Troubleshoot Operations Manager Infrastructure issues and agent provisioning/de-provisioning. *Knowledge of new features and deployment of SCOM 2012 – SQL management pack is desired* · *Develop backup and recovery strategies*. Anticipate hardware requirements and storage capacity planning for development, testing, QA and production for growth and performance · Lead performance monitoring and tuning of assigned projects and communicate with other teams for any root cause issue · *Ability to write automated scripts and strong knowledge of system tables and DMVs* · *Production support experience should include support of SSIS, replication, database mirroring and SQL Reporting Services. In depth experience with DacPac and IsPac concept and deployment and automation of database objects* * Require project planning skills and good verbal and written communication skills* · Pro-actively monitor production databases and optimize systems for better performance. Diagnose system problems, evaluate alternative solution and take initiative to solve problem. Resolve locking conflicts/blocking and resource utilization. Thorough understanding of database performance monitoring and analysis tools. Ability to work with database developers and engineers to analyze database performance and identify problems in areas such as: execution plans, index coverage, and SQL server statistics. Demonstrate ability to solve complex database administration problems. · *Bachelors or Master Degree in Computer science is strongly desired* · Must be a good team player with a strong team concept and self-motivated. · Work in a team oriented environment and ability to communicate effectively within teams.
