Position Description:



You will be part of the Network Services team responsible for all network
operations at a campus with forty buildings, 1500 wireless access points,
and 6000+ users. You will demonstrate a strong understanding and deep
hands-on experience with network security, wireless, and general network
support. You will verify technical solutions to deliver business value in
line with company objectives. You will also present a proven record of
technical expertise and ability to work in a team environment.



Primary Responsibilities:



-Install, configure, and manage firewalls

-Install, configure, and manage load balancers

-Install, configure, and manage the Cisco wireless solution including
controllers and access points

-Install, configure, and manage Cisco network admission control (NAC)
systems

-Install, configure, and manage VPN access

-Process network vulnerability scan reports and coordinate required updates
and system modifications with appropriate team members

-Coordinate security certificate allocation and tracking across all
IT-managed systems

-Manage DNS and DHCP systems

-Assist Network Engineer personnel with network administration and
troubleshooting as needed

-Work closely with end users and/or other IT members to ensure technical
issues are resolved in a timely manner

-Research and evaluate new tools to enhance the operation of the network

-Research and design new networking solutions based on given requirements

-Provide project management coordination for multiple projects, large and
small

-Participate in monthly after-hours network maintenance windows

-Provide knowledge transfer to IT team members

-Respond to critical support issues outside of work hours as needed

-Perform other duties as assigned



Position Requirements:



Bachelor's Degree in an IT related field and/or a minimum of 6 years
hands-on experience with the specific technologies related to firewall,
wireless, load balancing, and VPN technologies.



-Palo Alto high-availability firewalls

-Cisco ASA high-availability firewalls (remote access VPN)

-F5 Big-IP load balancers

-Cisco 5508 high-availability wireless LAN controllers

-Cisco Secure Access Control System (ACS)

-Cisco Identity Services Engine (ISE) high-availability appliances

-Security certificate deployment, tracking, and renewal

-Cisco IOS L2/L3 configuration and support of 3750, 3850, 4510, and 4500X
switches

-Familiarity with Cisco Virtual Switching System (VSS)

-Cisco 2951 Integrated Services Routers providing VoIP gateway functionality

-Familiarity with Cisco Prime Infrastructure, Cisco Prime LMS, Cisco
Mobility Services Engine

-Exposure to Cisco UCS hardware and functionality

-Demonstrated understanding of STP, 802.1Q, OSPF, SMTP, LDAP, QoS, SNMP,
DNS, DHCP

-Strong Familiarity with TCP and UDP protocols

-Ability to perform and analyze packet captures with Wireshark

-Intermediate Windows server OS experience

-Intermediate UNIX experience for administration of Cisco soft appliances

-Exposure to Cisco Communication Manager v8.x or v9.x and general
understanding of SCCP

-Experience troubleshooting wired and wireless connectivity at Windows and
MAC OS X devices

-Experience with security vulnerability scanning, documentation, and
reporting

-Basic administration of VMware Vsphere related to Cisco soft appliances

-Certifications are highly desirable: CISSP, CCSE, GIAC, CCNP or CCIE

Need to have Palo Alto- this is a good position for someone wanting to move
into a Senior role.
