Design and Develop components of databases, data schema, data storage, data queries, data transformations, and data warehousing applications. Drive technical direction for projects. Assess business rules and collaborate internally, and with business owners to understand technical requirements and implement analytical and technical solutions. Effectively resolve problems and roadblocks as they occur; and consistently follow through on details and drive issues to closure. Write documentation and communicate database design. Collaborate with program management and testing peers in the development of assigned components. This role will also be responsible for the strategy , design and architecture of ETL tools to support the company's next generation data warehouse. This person will drive the transformation of the current data warehouse to a SAP Centric Architecture with standardized ETL processes and lead the transformation of the Data Warehouse Organization to enable the business to visually consume and interact with information. *Must Haves: * ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: - Implementing and optimizing ETL processes using SAP Business Objects Data Services / SAP Business Objects Data Integrator - Design the data integration architecture including selection of ETL Vendor products and implementation of ETL solutions using one of the leading ETL packages (e.g., SAP Data Integrator..) - Design and implementation of an operational data store and data warehouse on one of the leading database platforms (e.g., SAP HANA , Teradata ...) - Review development and test specifications; performing data analysis; providing development support for existing systems - Troubleshooting data and/or system issues; building/extending toolsets; creating/maintaining batch jobs; creating systems documentation - Provide data analysis and identify data related issues as needed - Ability to conduct discovery, perform root cause analysis, and make recommendations for the remediation of data quality issues - The ability to design and recommend data policies and governance structures and control frameworks for the ongoing management of data *OTHER KEY QUALIFICATIONS:* - Applies Knowledge in the field of Business Intelligence and Data warehousing to resolve complex issues, to analyze of situations or data which requires an evaluation of intangibles to define the solution - Advises the company's Enterprise Business Intelligence management and customers on advanced technical issues and provides technical expertise within the company in the areas of Business Intelligence , Analytics , Data warehousing and Master Data Management - Highly developed interpersonal and communication skills; presents technically complex concepts in a way to foster understanding and acknowledgement of critical information - Develops solutions to problems of unusual complexity which require a high degree of ingenuity, creativity and innovation - Adapts and makes departures from traditional methods or approaches to develop solutions by evaluating a balanced risk based approach to support business objectives - Independently determines and pursues courses of action necessary to obtain desired results - Interacts and/or negotiates effectively with external and/or internal customers at all levels - Provides training and mentorship to other professional employees - Exercises wide latitude in determining objectives and approaches to critical assignments - Responsible for adhering to budgets - Exceptional verbal and written communications skills, with an ability to express complex technical concepts in business terms - Must have excellent client-facing skills; solid teamwork and interpersonal skills; strong ability to work independently when appropriate - 8+ years of Solid experience with SAP Data Services or other standard ETL tools and is required - Experience in large data warehouse implementations is a must - Solid experience with SAP Business Objects Data Services, Business Objects technologies - Strong background in Data Warehousing environment - Database development in an DW environment is a must have with an eye for tuning and performance - MS/BS degree in a computer science field or related discipline *Consultants may need a criminal background check* Thanks, *Pavan Gurram* *Siltek Corporation * *people. technology. innovation* 300 Brickstone Square Suite 201 Andover, MA 01810 (978) 475-3500 Direct (978) 623-7201 Fax *[email protected] <[email protected]>* www.siltekcorp.com -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Open Source J2EE frameworks" group.
