*Please send me your updated resume along with the best hourly rate and availability.* *An early response is really appreciated* *Please refer somebody if you are not interested for this position* *Job Title: Analyst Informatics * *Location: San Ramon, CA* *Duration: Long Term Contract* *Description:* Provide clinical and financial analysis for all company-wide reporting including physician profiling, clinical initiatives, pay for performance projects, facility utilization, physician variation, physician compensation, cost trends, and other operational and clinical projects to support Clients' projects and initiatives expected to have a financial impact. * Improve the quality of information and data by working with users to identify reporting needs, defining report specifications, developing reports to meet business requirements. Develop reports and processes that can be turned over to end-users' control whenever possible. * Extract data, provide analysis and interpretation; summarize findings. Report and present results using available or developed tools. Develop new methods for presentation of data. Clearly and thoroughly document all steps. * Conduct quantitative and qualitative analyses on various business issues, disciplines, projects and functional areas as assigned. * Serve as primary liaison with other departments to improve and enhance reporting. * Interface with other functional departments to determine issues and identify needs for changes to workflow procedures and/or system configuration modifications as required. * Establish and maintain effective collaborative and professional relationships with internal and external customers while exhibiting tact and consideration. Work proactively to resolve conflicts. * Utilize basic (Analyst I) intermediate (Analyst II) querying techniques with thorough knowledge and understanding of data warehouse concepts and content. Analyst II - Work with data warehouse team members to define and document data sets. * Analyst II - Design and build sophisticated data models, formulate recommendations and suggest alternatives. *Required Experience:* * 1-3 years (Analyst I)3-5 years (Analyst II) of experience in data and/or financial analysis required; healthcare experience preferred. * Understanding of the financial structure and business practices of the managed care industry. * Experience (Analyst I)Substantial experience (Analyst II) with data and trend analysis, statistical reporting, application design and development. * Ability to understand and analyze data sets (Analyst I) complex data sets (Analyst II). * Demonstrated knowledge of project management techniques * Excellent written and interpersonal communication skills. Ability to educate team members, staff from varying departments, physicians and nurses. * Ability and willingness to adapt to changing priorities and aggressive project deadlines. * Knowledge of (Analyst I) extensive knowledge of (Analyst II) MS Access, Excel, Word, Oracle SQL, and data cubes. * Experience in clinical reporting particularly HEDIS requirement knowledge, pay-for- performance measures, physician profiling. *Required Education:* * Bachelor degree in Business Administration, Health Care Administration, or related field preferred, or equivalent work experience.
