Job Role: WAN/LAN Advanced Services Strategy and Planning Principal Location: Dublin-CA Job type: Prem Position GC/USC only The WAN/LAN Advanced Services Strategy and Planning Principal develops and orchestrates the investigation, planning and implementation of core enterprise network technology strategies, architectures, decisions and actions that provide value to Healthcare in support of its strategic business objectives. The successful candidate will work in tandem with IMG Network Services to ensure the development of inherently aligned technology, capability and realization roadmaps. The candidate will be accountable for the definition of technology roadmaps, joint development of business cases and ensuring realization of prescribed technologies. The successful candidate will participate in business strategy development subsequently orchestrating the development and employment of realizable technology strategies and solutions that provide quantifiable value to the organization and support its objectives. The successful candidate will work closely with vendor and market representation to ensure visibility to technology trends that represent opportunity for KP. The candidate will work closely with executive and technical touch points within KP's vendor portfolio to drive feature and capability alignment between vendor roadmaps and KP's business needs. The candidate will identify opportunities to engage in co-innovation with strategic KP vendors and partners in the interest of evolving the domain of enterprise and datacenter network technology in healthcare. The successful candidate will define and execute Proof of Concept, Proof of Technology and Pilot activities in support of rationalizing and vetting technologies that provide value to KP. The candidate will collaboratively orchestrate these activities with business and IT stakeholders, quickly driving to decision and subsequent action. The successful candidate will serve as the technology standards steward for the enterprise and datacenter networking domain. The successful candidate will possess outstanding oral, presentation, and written communication skills. Education Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, engineering, mathematics, business, or other related scientific or technical discipline desired. Education can be substituted by at least 8-10 years of directly relevant IT experience. Knowledge Demonstrated deep expertise in infrastructure technologies with an emphasis on LAN, WAN, wireless, and technology instrumentation Demonstrated expertise in the area strategy development Demonstrated expertise in the design and implementation of enterprise network solutions The ability to develop strategies, roadmaps, architectures, patterns, methodologies, models and frameworks The ability to communicate effectively at the IT and business facing executive leadership level Demonstrated expertise operating as a change agent Skills ITIL v3 certified preferred Knowledge of healthcare, providers and payers Strong presentation skills Strong written and oral communications Strong requirements facilitation skills Ability to interface directly with IT constituents, BIO's, AIO's, business partners, affiliates and vendors Ability to think innovatively Self-organizing and motivated Experience At least 10 years of IT infrastructure expertise At least 10 years of LAN, WAN and Datacenter network technology expertise At least 5 years of Healthcare or equivalent expertise Finance and budgeting experience preferred Experienced in group facilitation Demonstrated ability to lead change Basic Qualifications: A minimum of 15 years of experience in solutions consulting including defining requirements, developing solution alternatives and estimates and translating client's business requirements into specific systems, applications or process designs for large complex IT solutions. Highly experienced at negotiating and collaborating with key project leaders to identify subject matter experts and resources necessary to complete the process of information discovery and understanding of the business needs.
