Title: Application Support Analyst

Location: Atlanta GA

Duration: 6-12 months



Candidate must provide oncall support

*Responsibilities:*

·         An Application Support Analyst has in-depth experience, knowledge
and skills in the 24x7 support of customer facing Web applications,
including supporting backend systems.

·         An Analyst is able to work independently and with peer groups on
escalated issues and prioritizes, investigates and resolves them without
guidance from others.

·         Frequently, an Analyst will lead teams and projects to resolve
complex technical issues and to upgrade/enhance current application
platforms.

·         They will also be adept in configuring and deploying software
packages in various environments with the ability to enable
monitoring/logging alerts.

·         Proactively suggest ways of improving system stability,
availability, performance and reliability.

·         Provide Subject Matter Expertise in a core functional Application
Support Discipline - Web Support Ability to prioritize and resolve multiple
complex and critical issues.

·         Forecasts and plans for supporting both applications
functionality and capacity requirements in a rapidly growing, changing and
complex environment.

·         Protect and insure the stability of the operational systems as
well as maintain the integrity of the data they contain.

·         Assist in determining the impact of operational issues and
provide input into their resolution via data extraction and quantification.

·         Coordinate and prioritize all escalated activities, including
testing, project management and implementation of system upgrades,
enhancements, and bug fixes.

·         Assess critical path and assist in implementation of any project
required by the business.

·         Available to provide 24 X7 support as required.

·         Lead efforts in complex troubleshooting, recovery and root cause
investigation.

·         Able to prioritize and resolve multiple complex and critical
issues.

·         Transfer knowledge to other members of your team as well as
across to other groups.

·         Assist in testing of new software as escalated.

·         On-call rotation to support operational issues.

*Qualifications:*





·         3+ years previous experience supporting business critical
applications in an Enterprise level company

·         Experience with multiple application technologies

·         CQ5 Experience (beneficial although not required)

·         *Shell Scripting experience* *(python, perl, etc)*

·         *Unix/Linux OS experience *

·         *Weblogic, Apache, WebSphere 6/7* (*application server*) -
ability to dig into logs and interpret results

·         Oracle DB (10&11G) - ability and proven experience writing
complex queries, scripts and ability to dig into data

·         Monitoring tools (Wily, HP Analyzer, KeyNote, tealeaf,
Coremetrics, BSM) - ability to dig into the metrics, define new ones, set
up alerts and fine tune the systems

·         Experience with configuring and deploying/implementing software
code packages

·         Experience in working with multiple projects thru various SDLC
methods

·         These are in-office positions and work from home is only in
uncommon extreme circumstances.

·         This is a 40-50 hour a week position and a 24/7 support role
including nights and weekends as needed

·         Education: 4 year degree (In Information Technology related field
preferred) or equivalent work experience
