This team provides 24x7x365 support for tens of Production, Test and Development databases. It also participates in numerous projects for Business Units and internal IT partners. This role will provide high level of technical skills for standard DBA tasks, help with automation and assist in defining the database technology roadmap. Additional responsibility will include working closely with the Database Engineering team for database and applications architectural evaluation and implementation of new features and dependent technology. *s* · Implement, manage, and monitor databases in Dev / Test/Prod and DR databases in a 24x7x365 environment. · Perform standard DBA activities for multiple Oracle databases to defined SLAs · Assume responsibility for backup and recovery, sizing, security, replication, database optimization, schema creation and maintenance, as well as SQL tuning and code optimization. · Perform physical implementation of database design from Oracle server installation to database creation. · Install, manage, maintain, and troubleshoot databases and data models that support vendor products, mobile/online banking and BI applications. · Perform root cause analysis of complex database problems. · Adhere to policies and procedures pertaining to the database management, security, maintenance and utilization. · Lead small to medium projects including direct interactions with Project Managers, Solution delivery and Applications support teams · Participate in weekly On-call rotation. *Job Specifications* *Required Education or Equivalent Experience* · Bachelor's Degree in BS in IT, Computer Science or a related field. *Required Experience* · 6+ years Oracle database 10g and 11g administration experience on Unix and Linux platforms (Solaris, OEL), and VMware. · Oracle Grid 12c OEM HA architecture deployment and management. · Fluent in at least one scripting language. · Strong Operational knowledge of ASM and RAC and Active Data Guard. · Substantial operational experience in a 24X7X365 environment. *Job Specifications* *Field of Experience* · Solid understanding of Oracle internal architecture, and cost-based optimizer behavior for 10g, 11gR2.
