*Job Title: XML Architect / Data Modeling* *Duration: 6 months+* *Location: RTP, NC* ********Need CITIZENS AND GREEN CARDS***************** *Qualifications:* Role Description: The Data Modeler Architect will be working as a team member in Common Formats scrum team, performs the enterprise data modelling and design tasks, and ensures that assignments are delivered with the highest of quality and in accordance to enterprise standards. The Common Formats team works with consuming application teams to develop enterprise information model that meet the business requirements. In addition to this, the group maintains the data naming glossary, enforces naming standards, ensures metadata definitions exist for all entities and attributes, generates efficient SQL against master data entities, and profiles and analyzes data to help design data models. The Data Modeler Architect updates the enterprise information model and generates the physical models in XML schema format and as database tables format. *Responsibilities:* - Develop conceptual and logical E-R model for enterprise information model (EIM) - Work with the business analysts (BA) to understand the information requirements - Lead and actively participate in the requirement gathering meetings - Map the requirements to the EIM - Identify any gaps and work with the BAs to resolve all the open issues - Facilitate modeling sessions and design walk-through's with other scrum team members and development teams - Build the XML schema based data exchange formats using the defined procedures of the EIM - Create and maintain the XML schema and collaborate with SOA developers during WSDL creation a plus - Work with the DBA to convert logical data models to physical data models for database implementation - Gather and maintain complete and accurate definitions, granularity, context and other metadata in Erwin model - Provide operational support for existing model including impact analysis, logical and physical data model changes and metadata updates - Write efficient SQL and store procedures used in information view layer - Act as an SME across the EIM subject areas for the developers, testers and business analysts *Qualifications:* The Data Modeler/Architect would need to have at least 8 years of experience - Strong data modeling and design experience - Strong experience in CA Erwin data modeling tool - Experience in Canonical Modeling and XML Schema design - Good understanding of Enterprise Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) and Message System a plus - Demonstrated experience in transactional and dimensional data modeling experience on Teradata, Oracle, or SQL Server platforms - Must be able to handle multiple assignments concurrently while maintaining high levels of quality and effectiveness with a minimum of supervision - Experience working with metadata repositories and management processes - Experience working in Agile delivery environment - BS in Computer Science or equivalent experience *Competencies/Skills:* - Communicates effectively and candidly - Communicates clearly and directly, approachable, relates well to others, engages people and helps them understand change, provides and seeks feedback, articulates clearly, actively listens - Achieves results through teamwork Is open to diverse ideas, works inclusively and collaboratively, holds self and others accountable, involves others to accomplish individual and team goals - Leads through positive influence Demonstrates strong character; builds partnerships; models a conscious balance between work and personal life; takes personal responsibility for own development; role models leadership qualities such as motivation, inspiration, passion and trust. - Technical Design Demonstrates knowledge of design concepts; conducts thorough needs analysis; develops designs that meet requirements; addresses scalability and development issues *Sarma* Dallas, TX and Houston, TX Cell: 972-200-1819|| 972-346-8218 (F) email: *sarma.v*@zirlen.com <[email protected]> || Gtalk: [email protected] *URL: **www.zirlen.com* <http://www.zirlen.com/> -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Open Source J2EE frameworks" group.
